FIVE WAYS TO WEAR YOUR SUMMER WARDROBE IN THE WINTER - RAY STYLES ( 27/10/14)

Winter is here! Well, almost.  So it’s time to swap our summer wardrobe for our knits and coats. Not only can this be expensive but there are a few items we don’t want to let go this winter. So in this post I’ll give you 5 ways to turn your summer faves in to year round show stoppers.

   1)     The midriff mania

our summer was filled with rock hard abs and showing off. Just because winter is here doesn’t necessarily mean your showing off has to stop. Crop knits and shirts keep the midriff mania going.

    2)     Colours and floral Print

Yep, you read right! Just because the weather is a big bowl of gloom doesn’t mean we can’t keep the summer colours going.  Simply add a little summery pastels or floral to brighten up your morning alongside your favourite mug of coffee.

     3)    Shorts

If you're like me and L.O.V.E shorts, I’m sure you’re heart sinks a little when winter comes around and rids you of the opportunity to bare your luscious legs.  Fear not! I bear good news; winter doesn’t mean you can’t wear shorts, whoever told you that clearly has a broken adventure button! Theme your fabulous shorts with comfortable knitted tights and jumper or long sleeve shirt.

4)Sunnies

I can’t be the only one that adores sunnies! Don’t let the lack of sun prevent you from taking your outfit to the next level. A pair of aviators or kitten eye sunnies can solidify your outfit. Giving you that Breakfast at tiffanies chic wether your rushing to a 9am or clocking in!

    5)Midi

If sumer gave you a new found appreciation for your curves via the helping hand of mother midi,  I plead you not to loose that sparkle. Winter doesn't mean frumpy, team your midi skirts and dresses with a pair of chunky knit, tights and oversized coat or better yet invest in a pair of knitted midi skirt or dress.

I hope my guide has given you an idea on how to transform your summer wardrobe and adapt it for the new season.

Dubz D – Dreams Review - Tevyn J (13/10/2014)

Hailing from East London, 20-year-old Dubz D has been doing music from the tender age of 13. He started performing amongst artists such as Lil Simz at 16, releasing his debut project entitled ‘Don’t Doubt the Dubz’ on his 17th birthday back in 2011.

‘Dreams’ is Dubz D’s 4th project release since bursting onto the scene in 2011. In the past year or so, his visual releases were uploaded by the UK’s leading site for youth entertainment SBTV. As the release date for ‘Dreams’ draws closer, Dubz D has released freestyles and individual songs taken from the project. The unique and talented artist/producer has also recently been the latest artist to drop an impressive display of lyrical ability via the SBTV warm up session, as he builds momentum, he also drops a freestyle over Benny Banks QoQ shortly followed by a creative visual to accompany it.

As the curtains raise, and we are welcomed to ‘Dreams’ by a chilled piano, relaxing drum pattern and a distant yet familiar voice, as the instrumental builds, the intro sets the tone for the LP, as Dubz D delivers what can only be described as that ‘calm life vibe’ that resonates perfectly with his cathartic, thought provoking lyrics and melodic backing vocals.

If the intro didn’t grab you, the second track entitled ‘Live My Dreams’ is a very confessional track that is likely to draw you in. With its melodic chorus, insightful and relatable subject matter as Dubz expresses his desire to live his dreams.

Other tracks to look out for are as follows:
Recluse, which features an up and coming artist from Tottenham - Yinkzz CM who recently performed at Big Narstie’s BDL tour
Venting which LOTM5 Grime MC and Badside member Proton produced
That 08 Life, which features Elf and DeeJillz of The Square
Like Me, which is a powerful, heartfelt, cathartic expression of the situations and circumstances the East London MC has found himself in, the video for this track was also Dubz D’s first visual release on the SBTV channel.
Cold World, which features Blvk Blvd representative – Wize, who brings a completely different vibe to the song, with an entertaining, multi syllable, skippy flow, partnered with a different approach to lyricism.

‘Dreams’ consists of 15 tracks, and a couple of bonus tracks with exciting features including Rival, Proton Elf, and DeeJillz to name a few. I found it extremely refreshing that this release wasn’t spoilt by unnecessary or forced features on every song, but well thought out features here and there that actually add something to the project.

Dreams is set to be released via SBTV on the 07/12/14, and is definitely worth a listen for entertainment value, inspiration and insight into a familiar or completely contrasting lifestyle or story to you and I.
